Women's Swimming & Diving (Discontinued)

Swimming and Diving Teams Compete at Drury Invitational

The Lindenwood men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed at the Drury Invitational this past weekend in Springfield, MO. The men's team finished the event in second place with team score of 899, edging out McKendree University by just three points. The women's team also finished in second place, compiling a final team score of 881.

Team Stand Out Performances:
  • Men's 200-yd freestyle relay team finished in third place with a time of 1:24.86 in the finals.
  • Men's 400-yd medley relay teams finished in 3rd and 4th place.
  • Men's 200-yd medley relay team finished the event in 3rd place with a time of 1:34.32
  • Men's 400-yd freestyle relay team finished the event in 3rd place with a final time of 3:06.95.
  • Men's 800-yd freestyle relay team finished the event in 3rd place with a final time of 6:54.15
  • Women's 800-yd freestyle relay team finished the event in 3rd place with a final time of 7:47.78.
  • Women's 400-yd freestyle relay team finished the event in 2nd place with a final time of 3:36.13.
Individual Stand Out Performances:
  • Elle Christie finished the women's 3-mtr dive in 1st place, while Katie Werkema finished in 2nd, and Madison Arnold finished in 3rd during Friday's event. All three divers finished in the same positions again on Saturday.
  • Dylan Callaghan finished the men's 1-mtr dive in 3rd place on Friday. Then finished the same event in 2nd on Saturday.
  • Melker Olsson finished the 500-yd freestyle in 3rd place with a finals time of 4:38.12 and also finished the men's 200-yd backstroke in 2nd place with a time of 1:52.65.
  • Patryk Winiatowski finished the men's 200-yd IM in 2nd place with a time of 1:53.99, finished the men's 100-yd butterfly in 2nd place with a time of 49.82, and finished the men's 100-yd freestyle in 2nd place with a final time of 46.20.
  • Jana Hellenschmidt picked up a 3rd place finish in the women's 400-yd IM. Then also finished the women's 1000-yd freestyle in 3rd place.
  • Jan Hanzal won the men's 400-yd IM with a final time of 4:06.14, while Alex Gelman finished the event in 3rd place. Hanzal also finished the men's 200-yd butterfly in 3rd place.
  • Lexie Winnett picked up a 2nd place finish in the women's 100-yd butterfly.
  • Camilla Rimmereide finished the women's 200-yd freestyle in 2nd place with a time of 1:55.04 and also picked up a 3rd place finish in the women's 200-yd butterfly.
  • Gerald Brown finished the men's 100-yd breaststroke in 2nd place, while Maxime Eekhof finished the event in 3rd, while also picking up a 2nd place finish in the men's 200-yd breastroke.
  • Beata Maruszczyk finished the women's 200-yd breaststroke with a final time of 2:22.31.
  • Gerald Brown picked up a 3rd place finish in the men's 200-yd breaststroke.
Up Next:

The men's and women's teams will head out to the University of Missouri - St. Louis for a matchup against the Tritons on November 22nd and 23d.
