The Lindenwood men's and women's tennis teams lost to Emporia State on Tuesday in St. Charles, Mo.

The men lost 5-2 to the Hornets, as four of the six singles matches went to three sets.Â
Theo Butaeye earned the only singles victory as he won by scores of 6-4, 4-6, and 6-4. Butaeye and
Guillaume Teste teamed up to earn a 6-2 win in doubles competititon.Â
Juan Albin and
Michele Gaspari earned a doubles win as well, winning by a 7-5 margin.

The women's team lost 7-0 after playing five singles matches and two doubles competitions.Â
Haya Hamed and
Natalia Cordero each took their opponents to a third set, but eventually fell in their singles matches.

The Lions return to the court on Wednesday to host Lindenwood-Belleville at 3 p.m. in St. Charles, Mo.
