Lindenwood track & field participated at the UCM Invitational in Warrensburg, Mo. on Friday.
Samuel Yaro raced to a 1st place finish in the 600 Yards, finishing in a career-best time of 1:11.92.
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- In the Pole Vault, Nicole Barton finished in t-4th place with a height of 3.61 meters.
- Tea Siehou, participating in the 60 Meter Dash, secured 2nd place with a time of 7.73. Siehou also placed 4th in the 200 Meter Dash. Siehou's time in the 60 Meter Dash is 8th all-time in program history.
- Jessica Markel recorded a 5th place finish in the 600 Yard, finishing in 1:30.36. Markel's time puts here 10th all-time in team history.
- Kirsten Huffman raced in the 3000 Meter, finishing in 11:33.20, for 5th place.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- Jarom Alexander finished 3rd in the Long Jump with a distance of 6.82 meters.
- Logan Kulinski notched 7th in the Shot Put with a recorded distance of 12.38 meters.
- Kulinski finished 2nd in the in the Weight Toss with a distanced throw of 17.98 meters. This distance was a NCAA Division II provisional mark.
- Boris Charles secured 5th place in the 400 Meter Dash with a time of 53.19. Charles placed 6th in the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 23.44.
- Yaro won the 600 Yard with a time of 1:11.92, for the Lions' sole 1st place finisher of the day. Yaro broke the school record for the 600, which was previously 1:12.01.
- Edward Kipruto (9:04.04) and Timothy Maxwell (9:18.72), finished 5th and 7th in the 3000 Meter, respectively.
