Louis Moreau and
Najwa Chouati made history on Saturday as they competed in the 2021 NCAA Division II Cross Country National Championships. Moreau and Chouati, who both earned All-region honors earlier this year, were the first male and female cross country runners to advance to the NCAA National Championships in Lindenwood history.
Chouati, a senior from Morocco, finished 70
th out of 256 runners at the Championships held in St. Leo, Florida. Her time of 21:51.8 in the 6k race was the sixth fastest amount the qualifiers from the GLVC.
Moreau completed the 10k men's race in 32:09.3, which was good for 73
rd out of 262 total competitors and he finished 4
th out of all of the racers and teams that qualified from participating GLVC schools.
