The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) released the women's soccer all-GLVC selections on Friday, and Jill Wipke of the Lindenwood women's soccer team earned third-team honors. This marks the second-consecutive year Wipke has landed on an all-conference team, as last season, the St. Louis, Mo. native garnered a second-team selection.

Wipke was a key cog in the Lions starting 11 this season, as the senior defender paced the team in minutes with 1451, as the senior defender started all 16 games this season.

In those 16 games, the Lafayette product registered five shots, including two on goal.  Wipke finished the year tied for second on the team in assists with one, which came in a 2-1 win over Illinois Springfield on September 19.

Samantha Linderer was recognized as the 2021 GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Nominee for the Lions.  The student-athletes chosen are individuals who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior.  These individuals must also be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting. The honorees are now eligible to become one of their school's two Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners, which will be announced in May.
