The Lindenwood women's cross country team finished 16th at the NCAA Division II Midwest Region Cross Country Championships, while the men's team earned a 21st place finish.
Najwa Chouati and
Louis Moreau both earned All-Region honors with top 25 finishes. Chouati has punched a ticket to the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships, while Moreau waits to find out if he has earned an at-large bid, which will be announced on Monday, Nov. 8.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- Moreau, en route to capturing All-Region accolades, finished 15th with a time of 30:57.2.
- Bramwell Havi (116th), Maxime Touron (135th), and Brady Mello (136th) were the second, third, and fourth Lions to cross the finish line.
- Luke Talbot finished 151st, while Timothy Maxwell accumulated a 152nd place finish.
- Brody Hudson, racing in his first-career Midwest Region Cross Country Championships, tallied a time of 36:39.40.
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- Najwa Chouati secured a top five finish, totaling a time of 20:55.00, and earning All-Region honors. Chouati will race in the NCAA Championships in St. Leo, Fla.
- Rachael Morrison finished 49th, one of two Lions to finish in the top 50, with a time of 22:06.10.
- Courtney Reid (128th), Nadia Pulliam (132nd), and Kirsten Huffman (136th) helped the team to a 16th place finish in the event.
- Athena Viers (23:51.50) and Emma Hubbell (24:59.00) were the final two Lions to cross the finish line.
