The Lindenwood Lions women's wrestling team made quick work of Fontbonne on Wednesday night in Hyland Arena. The Lions defeated the Griffins 39-3 and moved their record in duals to 4-1 on the season. Lindenwood's young wrestlers continued their strong showing this season with three wins by fall and one tech fall.
Although the Lion's youth movement played a huge role in the dual, the competition started with a recognition of the Lion's lone senior
Valeriia Mamleeva. Mamleeva who won her match by forfeit is a Digital and Web Design major from Dzerzhinsky, Russia.
The Lions return to action this weekend when the travel across town to participate in the Missouri Women's Wrestling Collegiate State Championships which will be held on the campus of Missouri Baptist University on Saturday, December 4.
