The Lindenwood women's lacrosse team received its 2021 National Championship rings this past Friday. The Lions celebrated the 2021 squad that finished with a record of 17-1 on its way to capturing the first-ever National Championship in program history. The attendees were treated to a lavish dinner with stylish decorations, including an NCAA Trophy ice sculpture. Along with the top-notch service and support from Lindenwood administration, the night will be remembered for a long time.
"It was all so well put together and truly a representation of Lindenwood University," Wildhart continued. "A class act all around. I could not be more grateful for the experience and getting to share that night with the team, family, friends, and all of our staff. I'll never forget it."
The Lions defeated Queens 14-12 in the Championship game becoming the first lacrosse team outside of the Eastern Time Zone to win an NCAA Division II National Title.
The 2021 roster included 11 all-GLVC selections, eight all-region honorees, three USA-Lacrosse All-Americans and four NCAA all-tournament team selections.
