Women's bowling finished 11
th while the men's team took 16
th at the Leatherneck Classic November 19-20 in Moline, Illinois and Davenport, Iowa.
The Lady Lions started a bit slowly on Saturday, but as the day went on, they gradually improved with four straight games in the 900's, including a high of 955. The effort steadily moved them up in the standings, and they peaked at eighth, the last spot to qualify for match play, after game five, but nine hours of competition took its toll and Lindenwood faded in game six to finish with a day one total of 5,436 to fall back to 12
th place.
The Lady Lions followed a similar path on Sunday, starting slowly in the 16-game baker block, but improving as the day went on. After dropping back to 14

th, but missed the cut for match play by 107 pins.
Meanwhile, the Lions took a different path. They started well on Saturday with games of 1,047 and 1,063 to sit in eighth place after the first two games, but the next three were more of a grind. Lindenwood finished the day with a better score of 1,009 in game six and an overall total of 6,027, good enough for ninth place, just four pins behind the cut line for match play.
The scoring pace was high to begin baker play on Sunday, and despite starting with a game of 231, the Lions could not put a big set together. Three more sets under the 800-mark resulted in a slide down the standings. A final total of 8,993 left Lindenwood in 16
th place at the end of the day.
Drew Sacks led the Lions individually with a six-game total of 1,314 (219 average) including a high game of 256 to finish 17
