The Lindenwood women's tennis team came up short in a close 5-4 match against UMSL to kick off their GLVC campaign on the Lindenwood Tennis Courts.

The singles play was tough but favored the Lions in a 4-2 ending result. Lindenwood victories came from Trang Tran, Fernanda Poblete, Juliana Kulczynski and Paula Sostres Pico.

The Tritons came out on top in doubles competition however, winning two of the three matchups. Kulczynski and Natalia Cordero were the only victorious pairing of the day, edging out their UMSL opponents in a 6-4 win. 

Up next, Lindenwood will take on Missouri Western in a home dual matchup on Wednesday at noon.
