The Lindenwood track and field program had a successful weekend and the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Allendale, Mich. this weekend. The men's team earned 11 points across the five competitors to finish in a tie for 21st place, while Oliva Alexandre secured five points to represent Lindenwood in a tie for 38th place.
Olivia Alexandre finished in fourth place in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 58.78. Alexandre was less than a second off the top finish in the event. The school record set by Alexandre with a 59.13 earlier in the year was broken, as she earned the best finish for the Lions this weekend.
Jameel Walkes-Miller ran a tightly-contested race in the 100 meter dash, finishing in fifth place. Walkes-Miller was .11 seconds off the leader, as he completed the event with a time of 10.55.
Samuel Yaro earned a fifth-place finish as well, as he concluded the 400 meter dash in 46.55. Yaro bested his previous school record by .01 seconds in the final run of the season.
Damaine Dixon posted a time of 51.38 in the 400 meter hurdles to earn sixth place. After holding the second-best time in program history, Dixon improved his personal best by .32 seconds.
Jacob Opdahl earned a 10th place finish in the javelin throw, posting a tally of 64.04 meters.
Logan Kulinski took 13th place in the hammer throw, registering a distance of 58.60 meters.
