The No. 8 Lindenwood women's wrestling team concluded the Missouri Valley Open on Saturday with multiple student-athletes earning spots on the podium.
OVERVIEW
The Lions had a strong showing on day one, going 45-24 as a team.
Cayden Condit,
Alana Duggan and
Kayla Edwards each had two pins apiece leading Lindenwood. In total, the Black and Gold had 14 falls on the day.
Jackson finished the day 4-0 to remain undefeated on the year as the No. 6 ranked wrestler at 117 pounds put herself in a great position heading into day two.
Rebecca Strong and
Sara Lake also went unblemished on the first day. Edwards, Duggan, Condit, and
Marissa Sanabria all picked up a trio of win on Friday.
Lindenwood concluded the open on Saturday with multiple top-five finishes. Lake finished in second-place in the 207 pound weight class.
Rebecca Strong earned the same spot at 145. Condit took third at 131 and Jackson finished in fifth at 117.

Lindenwood will be in Liberty, Mo. for the William Jewell Duals on December 7. They will begin at 9:00 a.m.
