LAST TIME OUT
The Lions went 0-1-1 at Augustana, picking up a 3-2 loss in game one and a 1-1 tie in game two. In game one, the Lions started the contest trailing after the first period. In the second period, the Lions tallied two goals, from
Kristof Papp and
Ty Hipkin, to take the 2-1 lead going into the third period. In the third, Augustana would tie the contest up at 2-2 with less than 9:17 to go. The Vikings would score the game-winning goal just three minutes later.
In game two, both teams were scoreless after a period of play. In the second period, Augustana would break the scoreless tie, tallying their only goal of the game with 6:15 left in the frame. Lindenwood would tie the game up at 1-1 in the third period, scoring 2:42 into the period. The goal would be credited to
Ty Hipkin. For the remainder of the period, both teams were held off the scoring column, forcing an overtime period to be played. In the overtime period, both teams would be scoreless, resulting in the contest ending in a 1-1 tie.

This will be the first and the second time in program history, the Lions will take on the Fighting Irish. Against Big Ten teams this season, the Lions are 1-5-0.
The Fighting Irish in their last series played, went 1-1 against the Minnesota Golden Gophers. In game one, Notre Dame fell 5-2, and in game two won 3-2 in overtime.
