Following a pair of exhibition contests against Grand Canyon last week, the Lindenwood men's hockey teams returns to NCAA competition this weekend against Robert Morris. Friday night's game will be the Lions' first regular season contest in nearly three weeks, as LU had a week off following their 3-2 win over Ferris State on November 1st.
Last Time Out
Lindenwood took a pair of exhibition wins over Grand Canyon last weekend, outscoring the Lopes 17-2 over both contests.
LU won 7-2 on Friday. The Lions outshot the Antelopes 66-15, including a 25-1 advantage in the third period. Furthermore, LU went 2-5 on the powerplay while killing off GCU's one power play opportunity of the contest. Lindenwood also won 53.7% of the game's faceoffs.
Anselmo Rego and
Tyler Loughman led the Lions with two goals apiece, while
Drew Kuzma and
Connor Gengle both posted three assists.
Jacob Fletcher and
Brady Yakesh also had multi-assist outings with two helpers apiece.
Lindenwood paired relentless offensive pressure with suffocating defense in a 10-0 route on Saturday night. LU created a 61-9 advantage in shots on goal as six different Lions found the back of the net, led by
Olivier Houde with a hat trick.

Player of the Month
Giovanni Morneau was named NCAA Division I Independent Player of the Month for October. Morneau was a staple on LU's top line, leading the squad last month with 10 points on a team-high six goals to go along with four assists.
Scouting the Colonials
- RMU enters this weekend with an overall record of 2-7-1 and have lost four consecutive games, including a pair of one-goal losses at RIT last week.
- The Colonial offense is led by freshman forward Bruce McDonald with a team-high seven points - all on assists.
- RMU's top goal scorer is Tanner Klimke with four. He was named the AHA Forward of the Week two weeks ago after scoring a trio of goals against Niagara. In total, 12 different Colonials have found the back of the net this season.
- Freshman goaltender Charlie Schenkel has started every game between the pipes, posting a .894 save percentage.
- RMU are cashing in on just 10.7% of thier power plays this season, which is the lowest conversion percentage in Division-I.
