NCAA Division I Independent Hockey announced its postseason awards on Tuesday, which featured Lindenwood student-athletes
David Gagnon and
Owen Bartoszkiewicz. Gagnon was tabbed the Player of the Year and Bartoszkiewicz the Goalie of the Year.
Gagnon helped Lindenwood make the transition to NCAA Division I after competing at the ACHA level. During the last three seasons, Gagnon has compiled 74 points on 32 goals and 42 assists in 90 games. He has led the team in points in two of the last three years, while playing on the top line. This past season, he compiled 11 goals and 17 assists in 28 games and went on to sign with the Rapid City Rush of the ECHL.
