The Lindenwood cross country program opened the 2025 season on Friday at the Redhawks Invitational in Cape Girardeau, Mo. The men's squad finished seventh, while the women came in eighth.
The lone returner for the men this season is
Isaac Ndiwa. The native of Kenya opened his season with a strong finish, coming in ninth with a time of 15:36.20. Five Lions made their collegiate debut at the event.
On the women's side, another freshman, Mckenna Smith paced the Lions, finishing 45
th with a time of 19.28.07.

Olivia Pearce and
Abby Anderson all came in with a time under 21 minutes. For Anderson it was a 5k PR with a time of 20:37.26.
Gabriel Smith also set a PR with her time of 25:57.68
