Caroline Ritter of Lindenwood women's soccer was recently recognized for outstanding performance in the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) this summer.

Ritter was named to the WPSL Midwest Conference – Gateway Division Best XI team while also taking home Goalkeeper of the Year honors.

Last season for Lindenwood, Ritter was named to the All-OVC 2nd Team and All-Newcomer Team after accumulating a 9-3-3 record with eight shutouts as a freshman. She stopped 59 shots while recording a .843 save percentage and a 0.74 goals against average.

Ritter and the defending OVC Champion Lions will host an exhibition against Missouri State this Saturday at 5 p.m. before opening up regular season play at Illinois State on Thursday, August 14th at 6 p.m.
