Elise Fawcett of the Lindenwood lacrosse team will compete with Team Italy at the upcoming Division II World Lacrosse Championships in Wroclaw, Poland from July 11-18.

The first edition of the Division II women's championship will feature 12 teams split into two groups for pool play, followed by playoffs consisting of semifinals and medal games. 

All four of World Lacrosse's Continental Federations are represented with seven teams from the European Lacrosse Federation, three teams from the Asia-Pacific Lacrosse Union, and one team each from the Africa Association of Lacrosse and Pan-American Lacrosse Association. The teams were snake seeded into two pools based on their rankings. 

Competition will take place at Pola Marsowe with up to six games per day across two fields. The venue recently held the 2025 European Men's Lacrosse Championship with a 24-team field.

Pool play will continue over the course of five days, before the top two teams from each pool advance to the semifinals on Thursday, July 16. The medal round is set for Saturday, July 18.

In her first season as a Lion, Fawcett appeared in 18 games, making four starts. She compiled 10 points on eight goals and two assists, while scooping up 14 ground balls.
