The Lindenwood lacrosse team earned the IWLCA Academic Merit Squad award for 2026 after posting the best team GPA in the country during the academic year with a 3.87. This is the first time that the Lions have won the award.

Last month the Lions had 10 members of the squad named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, while also being named an Academic Honors Squad, recognition that is given to all NCAA women's lacrosse teams with a team GPA of 3.2 or greater.

The IWLCA named four teams -- the team in each division with the highest team GPA for the year -- as Merit Squads.
