The Lindenwood track and field teams competed at the 24th annual Missouri Invitational this past weekend.
Ryan Brinker and Sarah Talimonchuk had the top individual finishes. Brinker finished fourth in the pole vault and Talimonchuk was seventh in that same event on the women's side.
Other top women performances were Ashlee Dorsett finishing 18th in the 200 meter dash and Melissa Yount and China Moore placing 11th and 12th, respectively, in the 600 yard dash.
On the men's side, the Lions had strong showings in the field events. Jim Freeman placed fifth in the shot put and Mitchell Heady finished eighth in the weight throw. Matthew Owen was seventh in the long jump and Brinker was one spot behind him.
Blake Austin was eighth in the mile run and Kemul Stubbs finished 14th in the 200 meter dash.
The Lindenwood track and field teams will be back in action next weekend at the SASF Invitational.
