Lindenwood Track and Field Captures Seven Events at Wildcat Invitational

The Lindenwood men's and women's track and field teams won a total of seven events on Saturday at the Wildcat Invitational hosted by Indiana Wesleyan.

On the women's side, the top individual performers were Keith Kotan who won the 400 meter dash, Sarah Talimonchuk capturing the pole vault title, Kaitlin Moore finishing first in the long jump, and Irina Reinhardt snagging the weight throw competition.

Other top women performances were Teneignue Coulibaly finishing sixth in the 60 meter dash and fourth in the 200 meter dash. Jan Bennett placed third in the 600 meter run and Amanda Lueng was second in pole vault. Jessica Ecker posted a fifth place finish in the women's shot put.

The women's 4x400 meter relay and the distance medley teams both finished fourth.

Jerone Mitchell captured the 400 meter dash title and Mustapha Habbani won the 3000 meter run to lead the men's side. The team of Javon Claxton, Fabian Willskytt, Dwayne Ferguson, and Mitchell won the 4x400 meter relay race.

Farirai Gwashavanhu finished sixth in the 60 meter dash and Claxton was third in the 200 meter dash. Claxton was second in the 400 meter dash behind Mitchell and Romain Menard placed fifth. Tom Waston recorded the sixth best time in the 600 meter run, and Jerome Gobert and Ryan Orallo finished fourth and seventh respectively in the 60 meter hurdles. The men's distance medley team placed second.

Dominique Johnson logged a second place finish in the high jump and a third place finish in the long jump. Demetrius Jackson finished second in the triple jump, Johnson was fourth and Willskytt was fifth. Ryan Brinker place second in the pole vault event. Mike Tzianos finished fifth in the shot put, and Nick Orf was seventh in the both the shot put and weight throw.
