The Lindenwood outdoor track team had athletes compete at the prestigious Penn Relays this past weekend in Philadelphia, Pa. Universities and colleges from across all levels compete in the relays.
Jessica Ching, the 2010 NAIA indoor racewalk national champion, finished sixth in the women's Olympic development 5K racewalk. She broke her national record by 52 seconds with her performance.
David Lindemann was sixth as well in the men's Olympic development 10k Racewalk.
The 4x800 meter relay team of Matt Petersen, Mustapha Habanni, Nicholas Yegon, and Joshua Schmidt
finished 15th. They posted a better time than teams from Boston College, Wake Forest, and Yale to name a few. With its time of 7:39.92, the team has posted the fifth fastest time in the NAIA this season.
The Lindenwood outdoor track and field team will compete at the HAAC Championships next weekend in Atchison, Kan.
