Lindenwood Shines at Titan Open

Lindenwood's track teams excelled in the Illinois Wesleyan's Titan Open this weekend in Bloomington, Illinois.

Jaleen White led the men's side with first place finishes in both the long jump and triple jump events. Jim Freeman also contributed with a first place performance in the shot put, an event where he was joined by Nick Orf, Bryan Kertz, and Mitchell Heady finishing third, fourth and fifth respectively. Other third place showings were added by Joshua Steward in the 55 meter dash and Ben McGraw in the 3000 meter run. In the weight throw, Bruno Boccalotta led the way in second for the Lions, followed by Heady in third and Freeman in fourth.

On the women's side, Celia Mboua was a winner in the triple jump, where she was followed by Cynthia Aoufoh in second. Keith Kotan ran well, finishing third in the 400 meter and fourth in the 200 meter. Teneignue Coulibaly contributed two strong performances, placing fifth in the 200 meter and eighth in the 400 meter. Other notable showings were Kaitlin Moore finishing fourth in the long jump and Courtney Heidorn placing fifth in the 800 meter.

Lindenwood will return to action next weekend when it competes in the Hoosier Invitational and the Central Missouri Classic.
