The Lindenwood indoor track and field teams competed in the Missouri Invitational Friday afternoon.
The women were led by China Moore's fifth-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles. Keith Kotan also had a strong performance, finishing seventh and eighth in the 200-meter and 400-meter dashes respectively. Courtney Heidorn placed eighth in the 800-meter dash, while Kaitlin Moore was eighth in the long jump. The 1600-meter relay team, made up of Rachel Hemphill, China Moore, Heidorn, and Kotan, finished eighth.
On the men's side, the shot put team led the way, with three throwers placing inside the top ten. One of these shot putters, Jim Freeman, also finished sixth in the weight throw. Lindenwood also had a solid showing in the 1000-meter run, where William Everett and Wesley Barger came in sixth and seventh respectively. Mike Reynosa placed eighth in the men's 600-yard run.
The Lions will return to action next weekend at the Southern Illinois University-Carbondale Open.
