The Lindenwood men's and women's track and field teams won 10 events at the Hoosier Invitational on Saturday in Bloomington, Indiana. Both the men and the women snatched five first-place finishes.
On the men's side, Jaleen White grabbed the top spot in both the long jump and the triple jump events. Jim Freeman captured the shot put title, and Joshua Steward claimed the first place finish in the 60 meter dash. The fifth men's title came in the 4x400 meter relay.
Some other top performances for the men included Bruno Boccalotta and Jim Freeman finishing second and third respectively in the weight throw. Jonas Kerhbraum placed third in the 400 meter dash and Mike Reynoso finished second in the 600 meter run. In the shot put, Nick Orf secured fifth place, and Jordan Dougados placed third in the high jump.
On the women's side, Cynthia Aoufoh won the triple jump and China Moore finished atop the 60 meter hurdles standings. Keith Kotan finished first in the 200 meter dash, while Terah Fullman won the 600 meter run. The fifth title for the women also came in the 4x400 meter relay.
Strong individual performances for the women included Natasha Mouratidou placing fourth in the weight throw and Jessica Ecker finishing third in the shot put. Keith Kotan and Ashlee Dorsett placed second and fourth, respectively, in the 60 meter dash. Teneignue Coulibaly placed second in the 400 meter dash and third in the 200 meter dash, while Rachel Hemphill captured the fifth spot in the 800 meter run.
The Lindenwood track and field teams will return to action in two weeks when they compete at the HAAC Indoor Championships.
