The Lindenwood women's lacrosse team earned another win over a NCAA opponent on Thursday night with a 22-3 victory over Adams State.
The Lady Lions scored the first 18 goals of the game before Adams State finally cracked the scoreboard midway through the second half. For the game, Lindenwood outshot Adams State 30-5, including an 18-0 margin in the first half when it jumped out to a 13-0 lead.
Kathryn St. George led the offense with three goals and two assists.
Kelsey Anderson and
Ana Gullett each netted three goals.
Justiene Groothuis had two goals and four assists,
Meghan Chase had two goals and two assists, and
Eleni Papadakos and
Kristina Trojahn each had a pair of goals. Other goals came from
Taylor Berent, Stephanie Tireman,
Lexi Crusha,
Klaysa Fitzpatrick, and
Samantha Brown.
Papadakos had a team-high six groundballs and
Kara Cashen had four. Papadakos also won five faceoffs in nine attempts.
Christine Hehmeyer and
Brittany Frankenfeld each made one save in one half in goal.
