The Lindenwood men's and women's track and field teams traveled to Fayette, Missouri to take part in the Central Methodist Invitational on Saturday. The women's team came in second, while the men's team finished in third.

The lone winner on the men's side was Nick Orf in the shot put, where he was followed by Bryan Kertz and Mike Tzianos in second and third, respectively.

Other notable finishes included Dwayne Ferguson placing second in the 400 meter dash, Nikolai Sarov and Martin Sarov finishing second and third in the triple jump, Bryan Kertz and Mike Tzianos placing second and third in the discus throw. Nick Orf was second in the hammer throw and Tristan Phillips was second in the javelin throw.

The women's team had five first place finishes. Ashlee Dorsett won the 100 meter dash, Teneignue Coulibaly won the 200 meter dash and 400 meter dash, and Jessica Ecker placed first in the discuss and javelin throws.

Other notable finishes for the women included fourth-place finishes by Kadesha Clumer in the 100 meter dash, Ashlee Dorsett in 200 meter dash, and Emily Fichtinger in the shot put.

Next weekend, Lindenwood will head to Lawrence, Kansas for the Kansas Relays.
