Track and Field Wraps Up Weekend at Washington University

The Lindenwood track and field teams competed at Washington University in St. Louis this Friday and Saturday where the Lions ended with a No. 12 place finish while the women's team concluded the event in 27th place.

The Lions had a great outing where Joshua Stewart placed fourth in the 100 meter dash, seventh in the 200 meter along with Martin Sarov placing highest recording third in the triple jump. Nicholas Orf also placed third in men's shot put and discus where he threw for 14.79m in the shot put and 44.66m in discus. Orf concluded the weekend with a seventh place finish in the javelin throw with a distance of 50.00m flat.
 
The women's team also had some successful finishes with Ai Shinohara placing 10th in the 1000 meter run in 41:24 while Jessica Weston placed eighth in the women's shot put posted a 12.05m throw. Weston also recorded a 36.22m throw in the discus where she placed ninth.

The Lindenwood track and field teams will be back in action as it travels to Columbia, Mo., for the Tom Botts Invitational on Sat., April 14.
