Box Score The Lindenwood women's lacrosse team closed out its home season on Friday evening with a 17-10 win over Grand Valley State. The Lady Lions will finish the season with a perfect 8-0 mark at Hunter Stadium.
In her final game at home, senior
Brittany Frankenfeld made 12 saves in goal and she earned the victory. She helped hold Grand Valley State to just two-of-11 on free-position shots. Another senior,
Kara Cashen, led the offense with five goals, and senior
Lexi Crusha had four goals and two assists.
The other seniors were
Taylor Berent,
Kathryn St. George, and
Asia Woodside. Berent had two groundballs, two draw controls, and three caused turnovers. St. George scored three times and had a team-high four draw control wins. Woodside recorded two groundballs and had a caused turnover.
Lindenwood has now won eight straight games and it is 12-2 on the season. The Lady Lions are in action again next Friday at Adams State.
