The Lindenwood track and field team competed at the Dewey Allgood Invitational on Sat., April 21 at the Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Mo.
The Lady Lions had a successful weekend where several athletes finished as the top seeds.
China Moore led the way placing second in both the 100m hurdles and women's high jump. Moore also finished third in the javelin throw and fourth in the long jump with a 5.02m jump.
Jessica Weston had a 13.01m distance in the shot put when she placed second while
Ai Shinohara recorded third in the 5000m run. Other notable Lady Lions were Terah Fullman with a fourth place finish in the 400m hurdles and Natasha Mouratidou also taking fourth in the hammer throw.
The men's team had a great outing as well with
Ethan Stack placing first in the 5000m run,
Mike Reynoso finishing first in the 400m hurdles while
Nicholas Orf placed first in both the shot put and javelin. Orf also recorded a fourth place finish in the hammer throw for a 47.79m distance.
Martin and Nikolai Sarov recorded fourth and fifth in the triple jump while
Rodney Mays placed sixth in both the 110 and 400 meter hurdles.
The track and field teams will be back on the road as it travels to Edwardsville, Ill., for the Twilight Invitational on Monday, April 28.
