Box Score The Lindenwood Lady Lions lacrosse team continued its already stellar first season in the WILA with a 20-15 win over the Fort Lewis College Skyhawks on Saturday night in Durango, Colo.
Lindenwood started the scoring with the first two goals of the game to take a 2-0 lead. Over the next ten minutes, the Skyhawks scored the next four out of five goals to take their first and only lead of the game.
After falling behind for just 30 seconds, the Lady Lions scored the next nine of the game's 10 goals to take a commanding 13-5 lead. Fort Lewis cut the Lindenwood lead to four late in the contest, but that was as close as the Skyhawks would get.
Melissa Menchella led the team with six goals on seven shots.

Lindsey Palmer,
Kathryn St. George, and
Kara Cashen all scored three goals each.
Lexi Crusha led the team in assists with six.
Christine Hehmeyer started in the net for the Lady Lions and made 12 saves while grabbing 13 groundballs.
After the win, Lindenwood improves its record to 14-2 and 7-0 in conference play. The Lady Lions close out their regular season with a game against Colorado Mesa on Sunday afternoon in Grand Junction, Colo.
