The track and field teams concluded its season on Sat. May 5, as it competed at the Billy Hayes Invitational in Bloomington, Ind. Towards the end of the event a lightning delay lasted more than three hours to wrap up the invitational.
Several Lindenwood athletes finished the events in the top 10 while going up against some tough competition. In the 100-meter dash,
Ashlee Dorsett placed ninth while
China Moore also placed ninth in the 200m dash. Moore went on to finish 12th in the 100-meter hurdles as well as a 14th place finish in shot put.
Terah Fullman recorded eighth in the 400m hurdles in a 1:07 time while
Ai Shinohara recorded the highest placing at seven in 3000m run.
Caitlin Howe finished eighth in the 3000m steeplechase followed by
Mary Brosamer-Senger in ninth. Howe also finished 15th in the 1500m run.
The Lions were also successful with
Mike Reynoso finishing best in ninth place in the 400m hurdles followed by
Rodney Mays in 15th and Hayden Eldred in 19th. Jonas Kerhbraum placed 10th in the 400m dash while
Joshua Stewart had an 11th place finish in the 100m dash. In the field,
Nicholas Orf recorded 13th in the hammer throw as well as a 14th place finish in the shot put.
