Women's Lacrosse Rolls to Victory Over Young Harris

Box Score The Lindenwood women's lacrosse team beat Young Harris College 17-3 on Sunday to remain undefeated on the season (2-0). After giving up the first goal of the game, the Lions used a 15-0 run to coast to an easy victory. 

Melissa Menchella shined for Lindenwood, recording two goals and four assists in the game. Menchella now has five goals and a team-leading six assists on the season.

Shelby Polk scored three goals for the second consecutive game, giving her six total for the season. Teammates Meghan Chase and Maddi Ossello both scored three goals of their own to help lead the way for the Lions. Annie Blevins and Melissa Smith each picked up a team-high four groundballs in the game. 

Goalies Christine Hehmeyer and Jamie Miller combined to hold Young Harris College to three goals on 11 shots. 

Lindenwood women's lacrosse will be back in action March 1 when it takes on Alderson-Broaddus College in Philippi, W. Va.
