The Lindenwood track and field teams won 15 events on Saturday at the Central Methodist Open in Fayette, Mo.
On the women's side, Lindenwood won 10 of the 18 events.
Jessica Ecker led the way with two titles in the discus and javelin. The other field winner was
Claire Buckman in the pole vault. The Lady Lions dominated the running events. Jerrelle Jones won the 100m,
Maya Mason was first in the 200m,
Jennifer Carter won the 400m, and
Courtney Heidorn was first in the 800.
China Moore won the 100m hurdles and Terah Fullman had the fastest time in the 400m hurdles. The 4x400 relay team of Jones, Fullman,
Fiona Brooks, and Moore rounded out the women's winners.
On the men's side, Lindenwood's throwers had a big day, led by three top-three finishes by
Bryan Kertz, including first in the shot put.
Mitchell Heady won the hammer throw and
Tristan Phillips won the discus.
Mike Reynoso was the lone runner to win as he took gold in the 400m hurdles. The 4x400 relay team of
Elrich Walker, Reynoso,
Kelvin Lau, and Wes Barger also finished first.
Lindenwood will be in action again next Friday at the Missouri Relays.
