The Lady Lions tennis team dropped to 2-3 this season when it lost to William Jewell by a score of 6-3.
After winning just two singles matches Lindenwood needed wins in all three of the doubles matches to earn a win on the day, but could only find a way to win one of them.
Gloria Marras got the Lady Lions on the board in the number two singles match with a 7-5, 6-0 win.
Mariona Pinol got Lindenwood's only other win in singles play by defeating her opponent 7-5 and 6-2 in two sets. Doubles partners Pinol and
Daria Ivanova won their match 8-6, but it wouldn't be enough to bring home a team victory for the Lady Lions.
Lindenwood women's tennis opens MIAA league play on Sunday at 11 a.m. when it takes on Southwest Baptist.
