The Lady Lions are now 13-1 overall and a perfect 8-0 in conference play. Lindenwood topped Regis 15-13 earlier this year to gain sole possession of first place in the WILA and Thursday's victory puts the Lady Lions out of reach in the conference race.

Leading by just three at halftime, Lindenwood's offense opened up the lead throughout the second half. At one point, the Lady Lions held an 18-9 second-half lead. Regis attempted a comeback by scoring the game's final three goals, but it was too little too late as Lindenwood held on for the win.

Shelby Polk and Melissa Menchella scored five goals apiece to lead the offensive charge for Lindenwood. Polk also added an assist and won six draw controls in the victory. Justiene Groothuis and Meghan Chase each tallied two goals of their own, while teammate Melissa Smith had a pair of goals and a team-high four assists.

Goalie Christine Hehmeyer played all 60 minutes in net. She picked up three groundballs and made six saves on the way to her 13th win of the season.

Lindenwood plays its final home game of the season on Saturday at noon against Colorado Mesa. The Lady Lions will honor the seniors at the game.
