Women's Lacrosse Beats Adams State to Remain Undefeated

Box Score The Lindenwood women's lacrosse team continued its great season with a 21-10 road victory over Adams State. The Lady Lions are still undefeated this season at 11-0. 

Lindenwood opened up a 12-7 halftime lead before coasting the rest of the way. The Lady Lions held Adams State to just three second-half goals.

Justiene Groothuis continued her hot streak by scoring six goals for the second game in a row. She also added two assists and nine draw controls for Lindenwood. Midfielder Melissa Smith chipped in offensively with a hat trick and four assists of her own. Lindsey Palmer also scored three goals to help lead the offensive attack. 

Goalie Christine Hehmeyer played all 60 minutes in the win and made five saves, four of which came in the second half. Hehmeyer also picked up two ground balls.

The Lady Lions will be back in action on Sunday when they return home for a game against Fort Lewis at 12 p.m.
