Tanya Chibanda led the Lindenwood track and field teams on Saturday at the Central Methodist Invitational in Fayette, Mo. Chibanda swept the 800m and 1500m races which was two of five victories on the day for the Lions and Lady Lions.
The other two championships on the women's side came from the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams.
Elrich Walker had the final victory by recording the fastest time in the 400m hurdles.
A total of 13 individuals scored points for Lindenwood, including six in the top-three. On the women's side,
Claire Buckman was second in the pole vault, Jerrell Jones was second in the 400m hurdles, and
China Moore was third in the high jump. For the men,
Brady Novak was second in the 5000m. The other highlight on the men's side was the 4x400 relay finishing second.
Lindenwood will be in action next week at the Jim Duncan Invitational in Des Moines, Iowa.
