Box Score Lindenwood's women's lacrosse conference has a new name in 2014 but the early results remain the same. The Lady Lions moved to 19-0 all-time in conference play with a 22-3 victory over Adams State in their RMAC opener on Friday in Alamosa, Colo.

Adams State scored just eight seconds into the game, but Lindenwood responded with 12 straight goals in a 16-minute span to put the game away before halftime. The Lady Lions outshot Adams State by a 42-14 margin, and forced nine more turnovers in the game.

Melissa Menchella had a big game with six goals, and Shelby Polk had three goals and one assist. Melissa Smith and Lindsey Palmer each had four points with two goals and two assists. Christine Hehmeyer earned the win in goal after making six saves in the first half.

Lindenwood returns to the field on Saturday afternoon with a RMAC game at Fort Lewis.
