The Lindenwood men's and women's track teams traveled to Columbia this weekend to compete in the Missouri Relays at Audrey J. Walton Stadium.
Senior Bryan Kertz had a big day at the event with winning the discus throw with his throw of 53.31 meters. Kertz defeated second place by four meters. Kertz had a top-five finish in the hammer throw as well.
Lindsay Blackwell came in third women's discus throw with a throw of 41.87 meters behind two Division I throwers from Mizzou.
In arguably her best event the 800 meter run, Terah Fullman-Ege came in second place with her time of 2:13.16 only two seconds behind the first place runner Monique Thompson from Lincoln.
Mike Reynoso continued to star for the Lions. Reynoso finished third in the 400 meter hurdles event just one second behind the winner from Lincoln. He posted a time of 54.16 seconds, four seconds off the meet record.
Senior Juwan Cubit represented the men's team very well at the Missouri Relays finishing second in the 200 meter dash with a time of 21.11 seconds. The winner broke the track record during the event, which Cubit was just .30 seconds behind.
Also, the women's track team sent a few field competitors to the Billiken Invitational held by Saint Louis University. Claire Buckman and Kimberly Klenke each finished in the top four of the women's pole vault. Kendra Smith finished fifth in the long jump with a distance of 5.14 meters.
The team is back in action Apr. 19 at the Dewey Allgood Invitational hosted by Missouri S&T.
