The historic 87th annual Kansas Relays concluded Saturday afternoon. The event saw several Lindenwood track and field athletes have success during the course of the three-day event. The Relays took place in Lawrence, Kan. at the newly built Rock Chalk Park and were even featured on ESPN.Day OneDay One ResultsDay one of the 87th annual Kansas Relays took place Thursday with several Lindenwood track and field athletes having memorable performances at the historic event.
Lindsay Blackwell was the highest placing finisher not from a Division I school with her third place finish in the women's hammer throw. Her throw of 55.56 meters was just .31 meters from taking second place.
Another third place finish came from the women's team with Terah Fullman-Ege in the 800 meter unseeded race. She posted a time of 2:12.40 in the race less than two seconds out behind the winner of the event.
Rodgerick Woods came in sixth in the decalthon event.posting a score of 5694 while winning the 110 meter hurdles portion of the event. Woods ran a time of 15.35 seconds earning 808 points.
Day Two
Day two of the Kansas relays concluded Friday night at the newly renovated Rock Chalk Park on the campus of the University of Kansas with the men's team impressing in several events.
Bryan Kertz represented for the men's track and field team with a top-five finish in the men's discus throw. Kertz was the highest finisher in the event among non Division I competitors with a throw of 51.89 meters narrowly missing out on fourth place.
Senior Juwan Cubit continued to impress in the outdoor season as he finished third in the 100 meter dash preliminary. With his time of 10.63 seconds, Cubit qualified for the final that is scheduled for Saturday. He also qualified for the final in the 200 meter dash event. Cubit ran a time of 21.43 seconds in the preliminary good enough to qualify sixth for Saturday's final.
Senior Mike Reynoso finished in seventh in the prelims for the 400 meter hurdles run with a time of 53.66 seconds. He is one of two Division II runners to qualify for Saturday's final.

Day Three
On day three, Juwan Cubit was featured in a few event finals after qualifying during the heats on Friday. He finished in eighth in the 100 meter dash. Cubit posted a time of 10.57 seconds. He also competed in the finals of the 200 meter run. Cubit finished with a time of21.54 seconds and came in fifth place in the race.
In the 4x400 relay event, the team of Jerelle Jones, Terah Fullman-Ege, Maya Mason, and Shamela Gray finished in third place with a time of3:51.97. It was a closely decided relay event with the host Kansas Jayhawks winning the race.
The men's 4x400 relay team of Brannon Wright, Mike Reynoso, Jonas Kehrbaum, and Harrison Weber finished in sixth in that event. They posted a time of 3:20.11 seconds.
