The Lindenwood track and field team finished up competition at the historic Drake Relays over the weekend.

The Drake Relays are held in Des Moines, Iowa by the Drake University Bulldogs and features athletes ranging from smaller colleges all the way to potential Olympians. It is universally regarded as one of if not the top outdoor track and field event held in the United States.

The top Lindenwood performance came from the team's women's 4x400 meter relay team. Jerelle Jones, Terah Fullman-Ege, Maya Mason, and Shamela Gray came in sixth place with a time of 3:46.19. The Lincoln Lady Blue Tigers represented the MIAA as well and won the race.

Lindsay Blackwell participated in the women's hammer throw coming in 13th place with a final distance of 52.54 meters.

Bryan Kertz represented the male field team in the discus competition and finished 12th in the event. Kertz posted a final throw of 51.97 meters. He was the second-highest finisher when it came to competitors from Division II.

Next up for the team is the MIAA Outdoor Track and Field 2014 Championships in Jefferson City, Mo. hosted by Lincoln University.
