complete results The Lindenwood track and field teams competed at its inaugural NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field National Championships in Allendale, Mich.
The track and field teams both scored their first points at a national meet during the outdoor nationals. The women's team finished with 12 points and finished 20th overall. The men's team scored three points and came in 49th.
Lindenwood's track and field program also crowned the first All-Americans in the teams' NCAA history.
Terah Fullman-Ege, Jerrell Jones,
Maya Mason,
Shamela Gray,
Lindsey Blackwell, and
Bryan Kertz all earned All-American accolades.
Fullman-Ege earned two All-American honors at the competition. Individually, she finished fifth in the 800m with a finals time of 2:09.02. She was also part of the seventh-place 4x400 relay team that ran a time of 3:43.00 in the finals. Other members of that All-American relay team were Jerrell Jones,
Maya Mason, and
Shamela Gray.
Lindsey Blackwell had the best overall finish as she came in third in the discus. On her third attempt, she threw over 50-meters with a mark of 50.56m. She ended up being one of three throwers to surpass 50 meters thoughout the competition.
On the men's side, its lone points came from
Bryan Kertz who came in sixth in the discus. He had a mark of 54.28m in the event.
Other men's competitors were
Juwan Cubit and
Mike Reynoso. Cubit was 17th in the 100m prelims (10.53) and 16th in the 200m prelims (21.49). Reynoso was 12th in the 400m hurdles prelims (52.61).
In other women's throwing events, Blackwell was 18th in the hammer with a mark of 48.18m, and
Michelle Kyle was 10th in the hammer with a mark of 52.14m. In women's running events, Gray finished 17th in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:02.33.
