Lindenwood's track and field teams traveled to Columbia, Mo. to partake in the Missouri Collegiate Challenge to compete against schools from across Missouri. Both men's and women's teams finished third out of the 12 teams competing.

For the women,
Shamela Gray continued to impress, finishing third in the 400-meter dash and the 60-meter hurdles.
Kendra Smith took command of the triple jump, leaping her way to a 12.14 meter jump, finishing first.
Lindsey Blackwell finished second in the weight throw with a distance of 18.19 meters, then finished third in the shot put with a distance of 12.52 meters.

For the men,
DeAngelo Strickling finished second in the 60-meter dash, then was second in the Lindenwood one-two-three finish in the 200-meter dash.
Juwan Cubit finished first, running a 21.74, while
Brannon Wright finished third. Cubit went on to finish second in the 400, with a time of 49.67.
Colin Cernik finished third in the 3000. The freshman
Xavier Boland took the competition by storm, finishing first in pole vault.
Michael Mlambo took the top spot in the long jump, while
Lavorrie Johnson finished third.
Deondra Canaday won the shot put by a full meter, then
Jonathan Harris finished third in the event.

Coming up next for the Lindenwood track and field teams are the MIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Warrensburg, Mo. on February 27th through March 1st.
