Lindenwood's women's tennis team couldn't overcome three losses in doubles to defeat Missouri Western State University. The three doubles losses proved to be too much and Lady Lions lost 6-3.
Lindenwood's Golria Marras received a win, by defeating opponent Sarah Giraldo 6-2, 6-4.
Clara Piccamiglio bounced back after falling in the opening set 1-6, by winning the last two sets 6-1 and 11-9.Â
Mariona Pinol got another victory for Lindenwood, getting a comeback win after falling 3-6 in the first set to winning 6-3 and 10-5 in the final two. Lindenwood couldn't find the chemistry to pull out a doubles win, falling in all three opportunities.
Diana Castro and
Savannah Martin got the closest, but still lost 9-8.
The Lady Lions hope to bounce back quickly when they host Grand Valley State University on Sunday, Match 15th at 12:00 p.m.
