The three individuals representing Lindenwood at the National Indoor Track and Field, Xavier Boland, Deondra Canaday, and Kendra Smith, wrapped up their respective events on Saturday in Pittsburg, Kan.

Canaday finished 14th in the weight throw on Friday afternoon with a best toss of 18.43m. Today he failed to make the finals in the shot put and did not finish in the top 15.

Boland placed ninth in the pole vault, one place behind First Team All-American status. His vault of 4.91m was good enough for Second Team All-America for the indoor event. This was the freshman's first national event.

Smith was named an All-American with her fourth-place finish in the triple jump. Her best of 12.27m was .02m and .03m better than the fifth and sixth place competitors.

Overall it was a successful trip for the Lindenwood individuals as two competitors will return to St. Charles with some hardware. The outdoor season begins next weekend on March 18 and 19 in St. Louis, Mo. at the Saint Louis Kickoff Invitational, hosted by Saint Louis University.
