The Lindenwood track and field team finished up competition at the two-day event in St. Louis, Mo. at the Washington University Invitational. The men finished with 51 team points and third overall, while the women tallied 75 points for fourth place.

The women's throwing squad kept up their success at the meet. Michelle Kyle won the hammer throw with a best mark of 51.32m. Chelsea Smith and Kearstin Cantrell finished third and fourth, respectively, in the event. Smith also placed third in the discus, while Vanessa Cook finished fourth. Cook recorded a best throw in the shot put of 12.44m, good for fourth place.

Deondra Canaday won the weight throw and the shot put for the men with best tosses of 55.84m and 17.31m, respectively.

In the women's triple jump, Kendra Smith had a best mark of 11.64m which earned her a second-place finish.

Lindenwood swept the 1500m races on the men's and women's side. Lisa Feuerherdt took home the victory with a time of 4:41.89. On the men's side, Ero Doce finished at 4:02.73 to win the event.

Xavier Boland, who finished second with a 4.80m best a week ago at Washington University, placed fourth with a 4.65 jump in the pole vault.

The Lindenwood men's and women's track and field squads get back to action next weekend at the Saint Louis Billiken Invitational Friday and Saturday.
