The Lindenwood men's and women's track and field teams finished competition at the Kansas Relays on Saturday in Lawrence, Kan.Â
For the women,
Lisa Feuerherdt finished the 1500m run with a time of 4:37.18, while
Kendra Smith recorded a 12.20m mark in the triple jump for a third-place finish.
Michelle Kyle and
Chelsea Smith finished seventh and eighth, respectively, in the hammer throw.
Akintunde Akinyemi placed fourth in the men's high jump with a best of 2.05m.
In the long jump,
Michael Mlambo finished third with a launch of 7.14m.
Deondra Canaday had two top-six finishes in the competition. Canaday recorded a 17.14m mark in the shot put for second place, while he also threw the hammer 55.18m for a sixth-place finish.
The men's distance medley relay tea consisting of
Ero Doce,
Zach McKinley,
Kelvin Lau, and
Colin Cernik finished in 10:26.49, good for sixth place.
Both teams will head to Des Moines, Iowa next weekend for a three-day meet at the Drake Relays.
