The Lindenwood women's tennis team concluded its regular season with a close battle with Missouri Western, but fell 5-4 on Sunday.

The Lady Lions picked up one victory in doubles which was at No. 3.
Rebeca Aguilar paired up with
Diana Castro to win by a score of 8-3.
Anna Barbasheva and
Gloria Marras nearly got the edge at No. 1, but fell just short by a score of 9-7.

In singles, the Lady Lions dominated at No. 5 and 6 when
Daria Ivanova and Aguilar both won 6-2, 6-0 respectively. Marras was the other player to win her singles, taking the match at No. 2 by a final score of 6-4, 6-4.
Clara Piccamiglio went to three sets at No. 3, but lost 6-2 in the third set.

The Lady Lions will look to build off their 9-10 season next weekend in the MIAA Tournament. The tournament will begin on Friday, April 29.
