The Lindenwood track and field teams won 14 titles over the weekend at the Principia Relays in Elsah, Ill.

Michael Mlambo led the way with two first-place performances. He won the long jump with a mark of 6.91m, and also won the 60m dash with a time of 6.96.

In other men's field events,
Ryan Hermann won the weight throw,
Akintunde Akinyemi won the high jump, and Bumnene Ndebele had the best mark in the triple jump. Hermann's winning mark was 15.55m, which he accomplished on his third throw. Akinyemi easily won his event with a mark of 2.02m. He cleared four extra heights than the runner-up jumpers. Ndebele won the triple jump with a 13.87m mark. His winning mark came on his first jump in the competition.

In the men's running events,
Ero Doce won the mile and
Robert Strong won the 200m. Doce's winning time was 4:16.84, and Strong's was 22.49. The 4x200 relay team of Josh Newman, Strong,
Hunter Drew, and Mlambo won with a time of 1:30.12.

On the women's side, Lindenwood won three track and three field events. In the track, Regina Huesca-Barralles won the 500m with a time of 1:20.83, nearly four seconds better than the No. 2 runner.
Erin Hodge won the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.09, just edging out teammate
Camry Bradford. The 4x200 relay team of Hodge, Huesca-Barralles, Bradford, and
Zori Holman won with a time of 1:49.39.

In the field events,
Kendra Smith won the triple jump with a mark of 12.01m,
Anna Tyan won the high jump with a mark of 1.64m, and
Michelle Kyle won the weight throw with a mark of 16.72m.

Lindenwood will be in action next week at the Jim Green Invitational in Jacksonville, Ill.
